Tommy Zoccola is a Memphis, Tennessee native who attended and graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 2015. After graduation, Mr. Zoccola earned his Bachelor of Science in Management and Legal Studies at Tulane University in New Orleans. At Tulane, he served as Vice President of Pledge Education and Vice President of Alumni Relations of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. Eager to return to his home state after completing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Zoccola enrolled in the University of Tennessee College of Law.
While in law school, Mr. Zoccola served on the school’s moot court board and served as the team captain for the school’s Phi Alpha Delta mock trial team. In 2022, he and his teammates placed first at the National Championships with a perfect record beating out the other 21 competing teams. Mr. Zoccola was also awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Negotiations during his time in law school. Upon graduation, Mr. Zoccola earned his certification in Advocacy and Dispute Resolution from the school and was selected to join the Order of the Barristers for attaining high honor through the art of courtroom advocacy.
During law school, Mr. Zoccola worked for a defense firm, where he gained an understanding of the inner workings of insurance defense and how those lawyers handle personal injury cases.
Mr. Zoccola also clerked for the Tennessee Supreme Court under Justice Holly Kirby. There, Mr. Zoccola worked on undecided and disputed areas of the law that would set precedent in Tennessee.
Mr. Zoccola also served as a student attorney for the University of Tennessee Clinic for Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. There, he counseled clients on the legal ramifications of their cases, and made court appearances on their behalf.
At NST, Mr. Zoccola is a member of the auto accidents and workers’ compensation practice group. He is passionate about fighting for his clients to ensure that they receive just compensation for their injuries.
When he is not practicing law, Mr. Zoccola can be found cheering on the Tulane Green Wave, Tennessee Volunteers, and Memphis Grizzlies. He loves powerlifting and spending time with his friends and family.
