NST lawyers see the effects of crushing medical debt on their clients all the time, and know that medical debt is the leading cause of bankruptcy in the US.

That’s why we recently made a donation to RIP Medical Debt, a nationwide nonprofit whose unique approach involves buying portfolios of medical debt at a fraction of their original cost, then forgiving those debts for those who qualify in the targeted geographic area.

Our gift was focused on Memphis and the Mid-South, and we are proud to report that our gift will eliminate more than $1.57 million of debt for more than 2,100 people in our community.

Alex Saharovich and Corey B. Trotz, Senior Partners at NST, saw immediately how RIP Medical Debt and their firm’s mission aligned.

“We’ve seen the devastation that automobile and truck accidents cause. Often, our injured clients can’t work and their bills keep piling up. We do our best to reduce the amount of medical bills for our clients in order to put more money in their pockets,” said Trotz. “We want to make a difference in our clients’ lives.”
