Memphis Bicyclists Want More Bike Lanes

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

According to WMC Memphis, bicycle riders in Shelby County, Tennessee, are asking for more bike lanes in Memphis.  This push for safe bicycle lanes stems from a recent accident involving a car and a cyclist.  On July 17, 2011, a Memphis bicyclist was hit by a drunk driver on Cooper Street and taken to the MED.  Fortunately, her condition has improved from critical to non-critical.  The driver was charged with driving under the influence (“DUI”), reckless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries.

Saturday, July 2nd, 2011
