New Cell Phone App Created to Curb Distracted Driving

According to MarketWatch, Protext Mobility, Inc., a developer of mobile phone software and applications, has created DriveAlert, a cell phone application intended to reduce distracted driving. The application, now available for Android phone users, detects when the user is driving and automatically puts the cell phone in “DriveAlert” mode. DriveAlert then blocks incoming phone calls, text messages, and emails and sends an auto-reply message to those who send text messages. In case of an emergency, a driver can override the DriveAlert system to make calls and send messages. Woman Taken to Hospital After Car Crash in Maryville, Tennessee
